The first 3-4 weeks of my Puppies lives begin in my home! This ensures they get all the proper care they need at the fragile stages in life! My Wittle Russells get all the attention they would get if they were my own baby! Here are my January 09' babies enjoying my jacuzzi tub and their first bath! In my bedroom guarding the food bowl! She has a good eye on this one!! GiGi/Roofuss January 09' baby!
In each maternity crate the mother has access to fresh water, food and a chew at all times. Her bedding will also be changed morning and night and crate cleaned 3x daily! Shhhhh. Sleepy time!
At 4-6 weeks my puppies are moved outside into the nursery! It is time to get out of the house and meet other smells and noises! I put shavings down on one end of their pen to teach them to potty in a designated area! This helps house break your puppy when you get them from RR!
At 6-8 weeks my puppies are moved outside into the big kids yard where they get socialized with other puppies, dogs, and whatever else may be outside at Ritzy Russells. Again Shavings are put down in one designated area to teach the puppies that they need to potty in one spot. This is the last stage prior to meeting their new family!
Learning the life of run time and back yard time! Glad mom is still here to help! This Porch is NEAT!
These are my runs and I built them myself, lots of love and sweat went into these pens! Then it was to wet for the cement truck to get in so I cemented them also! Is that love or what!!! They are 16'x10', with cemented floors! They each have their own individual heated dog house, filled with cedar shavings, for the comfort of our dogs! In each run the dogs have fresh water daily and an automatic feeder that is filled twice a week! Our runs are hosed each evening and bleached twice a week. These runs are a place to keep females in heat away from other males and our "fighters" out of fights! My dogs come inside the play yard, once I get home from work, and run freely from outside to inside upon their request. They are blessed to have a life of leisure! Most of my dogs prefer the outdoor life! . This is the playpen for our lovely Jacks! Here is where all the fun happens! One of 3 larger runs but the most used of them all! 80'x50' of pure excitement! A 5'x3' dog house that holds plenty of our Jacks and a doggy door that goes into my home! These dogs are not missing out on any action! They have shelves built onto the trees to climb, a sand box to dig and soon to be added in the summer a pool for them to chill out in! This is Russell heaven!
